- Who is a salesperson An agent who solicits contracts for the builder for a commission. Only occasional sales that are incidental to another job (an office manager, for example) do not need a license. (MCL 339.2401(d))
- Penalties First offense of practicing without a license: a fine of $5,000 to $25,000. Maximum administrative fine for a licensee who violates the Code: $10,000. (MCL 339.601(6)(a); 339.602(e))
- After cancellation The seller tenders payments back within 10 days and, if it does not demand return of delivered goods within 20 days, the goods become the buyer's. If services were already performed, the seller is not entitled to compensation. (MCL 445.114(1); 445.115(1)-(2))
